“Give me the right word and the right accent, and I will move the world.” — Joseph Conrad

Stories can be translated. Movies can be dubbed. But no translated story will ever carry the weight and strength of one written in its inteded language.
No one likes subtitles. That’s where I come in.
I am a bilingual journalist whose stories have been published in both English and Spanish, and I shoot my own pictures to accompany my stories.
As a Web producer, I had fun juggling writing and publishing breaking news in both languages — for print and web — mastering two content management systems and leading the project of migrating an entire website from one CMS to another. Unfortunately, the Spanish-language newspaper I worked for ceased publication. But with bad news, came a good one: a new position.
I’ve now joined The Palm Beach Post’s Breaking News Team as a reporter.
My time in Palm Beach County has been a roller coaster ride — from intern, to clerk, to Web producer, all in less than a year. But this recent position is a new, unexpected twist of the roller coaster, and I’m about to go in head first.
